Why PR?

My name is Melanie McKnight, I am 19 years-old, and I am a Public relations major at Georgia Southern University. Before I enrolled at GSU, I was a dual enrollment student at Georgia Gwinnett College. Finishing my freshman year of college as a senior in high school came of major importance in the rest of my college education. I chose this major because I have a very outgoing personality and I want to have a voice in my industry. I love being able to get out in my community and speak to the people around me to inform, persuade and entertain. My faith has opened me up to so many opportunities such as serving my community, so that is what I want to do for the rest of my life.
